Our Priority Program Areas
Education
The Nasara Foundation aims to improve education in public primary schools by addressing gaps in learning materials and resources. It supports projects like the Kebbi State Girl-Child Education Summit, education support programs, and initiatives for meals, long-term sponsorships, STEM for girls, and encouraging school attendance. UNICEF reports that 70% of children in Kebbi State are out of school, with 60% being girls.
Nasara Foundation Program (NFP)
The foundation aims to enhance women’s skills, empower them, promote girls’ education, and support women’s rights. With women and youth making up 62% of the global population, their empowerment benefits everyone. The Nasara Foundation will implement tailored programs in Kebbi State, focusing on skill development, medical outreach, educational support, and empowerment. These initiatives will improve women’s lives, boost their confidence, and drive social and economic growth in the state.
Youth Capacity Development Program
Nigeria, with the world’s largest youth population and a median age of 18.1 years, faces challenges in health, education, and economic opportunities, especially in Kebbi State where about 3 million youths are affected. Effective youth development involves engaging them in planning and decision-making. The Nasara Youth Leadership Institute (NYLI) will address these issues through quarterly forums focused on leadership, peacebuilding, and community development, aiming to enhance education, living standards, and health outcomes.
