Nasara Foundation Partners WAMY, Kebbi State Government to Provide Free Eye Surgeries in Kebbi

We’re proud to share another important milestone in our mission to improve lives, especially for girls, women, youth, and the elderly across Kebbi State.

Between November 23 -27, 2025, we partnered Kebbi State Government and tge World Assembly of Muslim Youths (WAMY) to provide a hiigh-impact Free Medical Outreach at the Kebbi State Teaching Hospital, Kalgo.

Over 5000 beneficiaries drawn from 21 Local Government Areas benefited from the free eye surgeries, free medical treatment and free medical eyeglasses.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Hajia Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir said 1,000 beneficiaries had free eye surgeries while 1,000 eye glasses were freely given out and 3,000 patients with various eye conditions were also treated.

Hajiya Bilkisu decribed the outreach as “a major milestone in ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all.”

She added, “This outreach reflects our commitment to bridging the healthcare gap across our communities. We are glad that 5000 residents of Kebbi State benefited from this outreach and it underscores our commitment to promoting dignity, well-being, and inclusion for all residents of Kebbi State.”

The Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Isma’il Augie commended the Nasara Foundation-led initiative, describing it as a special outreach, delivering meaningful support to thousands of residents.

The Country Director of WAMY, Dr. Hisham Muhammad, expressed satisfaction with the turnout.
