We are excited to announce the opening of a new branch of Nasara Women Development Foundation, also known as Nasara Foundation, in Jega Local Government, located 37 km from Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State . This expansion is a testament to Nasara Foundation’s commitment to ending extreme poverty by empowering women, educating the girl child, and enhancing the lives of youths in Nigeria.
The occasion was graced by several distinguished personalities, including His Royal Highness, Sarkin Kabin Jega, Alhaji Muhammadu Arzika Bawa Jega. Other notable attendees were the Special Adviser on Commerce and Industry, Alhaji Nasiru Musa Jega, and his wife, Hajiya Fatima Dan Musa. The event was also attended by Dr. Halima Bande, Hon. Commissioner for the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; Hon. Muhammad Hamidu Jarkuka, Hon. Commissioner for the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Empowerment; Hon. Faruku Aliyu Nasarawa, Majority Leader of the Kebbi State House of Assembly; Alhaji Usman Abubakar, Director of Finance, SUBEB; and Hon. Hayatu Bawa Jega, Hon. Commissioner for the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
During the event, the Founder of Nasara Foundation and wife of Kebbi State Governor, Her Excellency, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, emphasized the importance of this new branch.
She stated, “At Nasara Foundation, we are always committed to reaching out to the people of Kebbi State, particularly. We cannot afford to have our operations far from the people. Kebbi has a large population, and we want to ensure the Foundation has accessible branches to serve them better.”
The opening of the Foundation’s new branch in Jega marks another significant step in Nasara Foundation’s mission to provide greater support and services to the girl-child, women and youths of Kebbi State.
